The purpose of the Computer Technician qualification is to prepare learners to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems according to industry standards and organisational requirements. Learners who complete this programme will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to support desktop environments, configure operating systems, troubleshoot network connectivity, install hardware components, and ensure optimal device performance. They will also develop competencies in cybersecurity principles, customer support, documentation, and IT service management. By acquiring these capabilities, learners will be equipped to deliver effective technical support, ensure reliable system operation, and contribute to secure, efficient IT environments. They will be able to:
